Our client is a master chef extraordinaire! This TINY kitchen had to be gutted and re-installed with electrics, plumbing, tiling, lighting and cabinetry.

The challenge was to maximise space, create a sense of light and make space for a washing machine.  The space measured a mere 2 x 3.4m - hardly space to swing a cat.  Yet with careful planning and capitalizing on the almost 3m high ceilings we managed to fit in a broom and grocery cupboard, pot drawers and even a designated space for a new microwave.

Using large format white tiles and white wall mounted cabinets with glass fronts opened up everything at eye level.  The use of a cool blue colour which visually recedes also created a sense of depth and gave it a casual beachy feel.

At Njabulo Projects we like to include something personal as a reminder of the original space.  In this case we created a bespoke tea towel holder using the original wall tiles and a cabinet door.  Old meets new and many scrumptious meals will be prepared with love in this delightful kitchen.
